Gratitude

I Chronicles 16:8-9 says “Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his miracles.”

Gratitude is a word that often seems to be missing from the vocabulary today. So many things that people do for us are taken for granted, even expected. Giving thanks is oft forgotten or just not done. To give thanks means to be thankful for something, to appreciate and be grateful for the good things in your life. A little gratitude can go a long way in making people’s day a little better.

The one we seem to least offer thanks to is the one who should be given constant thanks- Our Heavenly Father. Without Him, there is no life, no reason to celebrate, no hope of a tomorrow. We can never repay what He has done for us, but we can give thanks. Think how much just saying thanks to Him means. He loves and wants our fellowship.

Be it ever so simple, it comes from my heart. Today, Father, I give you thanks.

Who should you say thank you to?
